Hotel "Dieter" is a family-run hotel located in the heart of Sofia (7 minutes from National Palace of Culture and 12 of the Blvd. "Vitosha"), in close proximity to transport hubs, office buildings, retail outlets, eateries, supermarkets and a host of entertainment venues.
Our Story
In a family hotel Dieter is woven into the story of the famous writer and public figure Todor G. Vlaikovwho lived and worked here.
Todor Genchov Vlaikov (1865 - 1943) also known by his pseudonym Veselin, is a Bulgarian writer, public figure and politician. He is also one of the founders and the first leader of the Radical Democratic Party.

In 1926 on the initiative of Maria Vlaikova, wife of Todor G. Vlaikov, a building was opened to house the National Cinema. Immediately thereafter, the newly constructed building on ul. "Tsar Ivan Asen II" was donated to the Ministry of National Education, and a little later the cinema was named "Vlajkova".
The name of the hotel comes from the first names of all the owners. Our building is a monument of culture and has preserved the charm and spirit of Old Sofia, while adding a touch of our modern times.

Authentic Bulgarian cuisine with recipes collected from the monasteries in the country will convey to you the traditions of Bulgarian cooking.
The historic building, home to the infamous etc. Krastev and home of the first literary club and magazine "Misel" has preserved the spirit and atmosphere of old urban Sofia. More than a hundred years ago the professor used to talk here together with the great Pencho Slaveykov, Peyo Yavorov, Petko Todorov and Todor Vlaikov.
